Floyd Mayweather Jr. announced on Tuesday that he would face Andre Berto in his 49th fight this December. Above, you can watch the kickoff press conference for that fight.

Mayweather, 48-0, is coming off his victory over Manny Pacquiao in one of the most hyped fights in boxing history and certainly the most lucrative. Berto is certainly a much less iconic opponent, though the fighter is 30-3 and a two-time welterweight champion.
Those three losses have come in his past six bouts, however, taking some of the luster out of this matchup. Indeed, Berto appears to be another in a long line of uninspiring opponents for Mayweather, with many fans hoping the undefeated superstar would take on a more compelling—and perhaps deserving—opponent, such as Amir Khan.
Nonetheless, Mayweather will be facing Berto with a shot to tie Rocky Marciano's record of 49-0. That fact alone will pique the interest of many fans and make this fight an important moment in boxing history.
